Music and More, a three-book, two CD resource, is written for teachers who have little experience in taking music lessons. The books contain all the detailed planning work associated with providing music sessions for young children. A suggested yearly overview is based on established achievement objectives for music curriculum, and each thematic plan comes with a learning intention and activities covering key elements, skills, and competencies. Also provided are blackline masters for class assessment sheets, profile assessment sheets, music awards, and rhythm cards, as well as two CDs of the music and songs featured in the books. A New Zealand flavour is evident in the inclusion of indigenous songs and interspersion of Te Reo Maori as an option for teachers beginning or continuing their Maori language journey.
